About Me

My name is Kirsty Kash. My family of 4 (plus 2 sweet Bengal cats) is new to Winnipeg, Manitoba! I have been making functional pottery for about 10 years. When I lived in Edmonton I was honoured to teach children, teens and adult classes at the spectacular community-minded studio, Viva Clayworks.

Now that both of my children are in school full-time, I've taken a leap and begun working towards a Bachelor of Fine Arts at the University of Manitoba. I'm chipping away at it slowly and enjoying being immersed in a drawing class at the moment.

In the basement our new home in Winnipeg I'm setting up a studio space for myself. Up until now I have been firing my work at Viva Clayworks but now I have my own kiln and no longer have to transport fragile greenware.

I love that pottery is a way I can create functional art, items that delight their users each day. I see my ceramics as a way to connect and bring joy. I try to leave surprise details on my pieces for users to discover and enjoy.

I invite you to sign up for my newsletter so you'll know when I've got work that is ready to go out into the world!
